There's a saying that I can apply to most things I've done in my life - Curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought it back - I can't seem to help myself when I find something that piques my interest, I just have to see if I can do it too. New recipes, the new Dremel my husband bought for me, painting classes, writing both short and long stories, pretty much anything that catches my imagination becomes fodder for new projects. Some passions fade quickly, while others disappear for a time to resurface again and again. Like writing.
I don't remember a time in my life when I did not read. Even now, everywhere I go, I always have a book near at hand. I spent years fantasizing about writing before I finally stopped dreaming and started doing. I'm living that dream now, and loving every moment!
I have published one book, Heart of the Maze, through Breathless Press. Also, I have published a short story called Nothing But Time in Voluted Tales Magazine. Nothing But Time and another short story titled Almond Cookies were published in the Wilkie Press and the Northwestern Herald.
Writing is something I believe everyone should do. Even if you don't aim for publishing, it is a great way to preserve memories and pass them on. I hope you enjoy poking around the blog here and find something interesting to read or a new project to start.
